not any longer than 30mins at a time I should think. It is not safe to tan outside at all, but if you decide to, I wouldn't stay for a long period of time. If you feel your skin burning than stop before it worsens. Have fun!

I don't understand the craze with tanning, all it is, is damaging the skin. The damage is reflected by the skin trying to protect itself by producing melanin to darken the skin, unfortunately, doing so also creates mutations in the skin cells ultimately leading to cancer. But it also dries the skin, so that by the time you are 35, you will look 50. Makes no sense to tan at all. When I go outside I wear thirty sun block and hats and long sleeves. No amount of time in the sun is safe. But since it's there, we have to protect our skin as best we can, tanning is just plain stupid.

Honestly i don't think we can tell you how long you can stay outside because i mean let's say your on the beach in hawaii and we say 30 min are you Only going to stay in the sun for 30 min? I don't think so. The sun is really bad for you, but everyone loves looking dark, and sexy. No matter how long you wanna stay in the sun, just use a lot of sunscreen, protect yourself, and don't over do it...GOod luck
