i think it was in louisiana, the parentsleft the month old baby sleeping on the floor with a 6 week old puppy and a ferret roaming the house. the tweeker parents claimed that they slept next to the baby when all 5 toes had been chewed/sucked off. vets said it would have taken hours for this to be done. whats wrong with this picture? i mean really. this was also a few months back. is it possible that there was a rat in the building? they lived in a pretty cruddy home.

It's was the parents fault! Just ticks me off. They got high or drunk, left the baby on the floor in a carseat while they passed out. Something, (another option at the time was a rat, along with the ferret and puppy theories), chewed off the baby's toes, and the stupid parents were so blown away they didn't even wake up to the screaming. I've often wondered what happend to that poor little puppy. The baby was taken into foster care after the hospital, but from what I understand the ignorant parents weren't punished nearly enough.

the mummy must be charged to the fullest volume of the regulation because of the fact she is directly to blame for what has exceeded off right here. in accordance to court docket documents, the canine chewed the youngster's foot as much as the ankle - that's some thing that could've taken some time, even for a grown canine, not to point a 4 months previous pup that still has its infant tooth. for the duration of the full time this replaced into happening, the youngster and canine have been without supervision. the place replaced into the mummy? As the two the youngster's mom and the canine's proprietor she has failed miserably. parents might desire to make helpful their toddlers are supervised or in a secure ecosystem, and puppy vendors might desire to make helpful their pets are supervised or in the event that they might't be supervised, they might desire to be wisely constrained. for that reason, putting the pup in a crate or yet another room might've been the ultimate ingredient to do. You under no circumstances ever ever ever flow away any canine, whether that's the friendliest of family individuals canine - with youthful toddlers unsupervised. there is purely too plenty which could take place. And no, this does not instruct that Pit Bulls are inherently evil. that is purely stupid and exhibits you comprehend not something approximately any canine. All 4 months previous domestic canine chew - they'll chew on something and each little thing, quite while they are unsupervised. the different unsupervised youthful pup might have achieved the comparable. If something, this exhibits that a large style of human beings who own Pit Bulls are inherently clueless approximately canine and easily shouldn't own any style of canine.

I remember this story ! So, I read some of the answers. I did not know it was the ferret! But I guess I have a question of my own. Where were the parents of this baby? You mean to tell me a babys toes are getting chewed off and it did not cry?
I say the parents should have been punished!

I haven't heard what happened, but in most communities
the law says that any dog or puppy that bites a human and causes physical damage has to be put down.
I personally feel that the owners of that puppy need to be jailed
for negligence, as well. It's common knowlege that you shouldn't allow a puppy out of it's crate without supervision until it is properly trained.

Well...here in Toledo a few months back, we had a pit bull puppy chew off the foot of a toddler with spina bifida. They decided to stupidly destroy the dog immediately and the mother is facing criminal neglect charges.

I can't imagine they would euthanize such a young pup for something that was obvious an abusive situation for both the pup and the infant. I do hope they prosecute the parents of the infant though.

It wasn't the pit bull, they determined it was far more likely the ferret did the chewing.
