Fruits are ok in moderation but there some you want to avaoid. Grapes are a non-no. Apples are ok but avoid the seeds, pits and stems of all fruits. Many veggies are ok in moderaation also but again there are some to avoid including onions. You may want to do an internet search for a comprehensive list of fruits and veggies to avoid.

I think that it is fine. I had a german shepherd who loved oranges. And a cat who loved overripe bananas(go figure!). As long as your Chihuahua is getting a balanced diet otherwise and not just eating fruits and veggies, it is fine.
Dogs are actually omnivorous, though most people think they are carnivorous. They are primarily carnivorous, but sometimes eat veggies and roots in the wild. The fruits and veggies may give your dog some extra fibre, that's all. The important thing is to make sure that your dog is getting a balanced diet and that these treats don't become your dog's main diet.
Also ask your vet about the specific friuts and veggies. Some might not be good for your dog. Also depends on the breed and age of your dog.

There is nothing wrong with giving your pets fruits or vegitables if they eat them. You can go on line and see what is poison I know onions at least raw are poison and most dogs don't like bananans. My dogs eat green beans, grapes(i peel them) and what ever else they find appealing. But check for poison veggies online. Good Luck

Both are fine, in moderation - too much will cause diarrhea. In the wild, dogs eat whatever they can scrounge - frequently fruits and veggies. In fact, coyotes LOVE watermelon - they have been known to raid patches of it in the summertime in NJ.

I asked my vet the same question and she said that the fruits and veggies were good for them! She did tell me not to give them grapes because the type of pesticide they use on them is bad for animals.

as long as you dont feed your dog Grapes, Tomatoes, Raisins, rhubarb, citrus fruits can be bad for your dog, onions,Avocados, i know for a fact will poision your dog and i also think types of peppers will too. but i feed my puupy fruits and vegetables because he likes them and i mean its something healthy and yummy tasting because i bet dog food becomes boring. lol. but if you want to no more ask your dogs doctor if the fruits and veggies are ok for them to eat.
Just dont feed your dog to much of them at once because they can cause problems in your pet but its ok to feed them some everynow and then.

Never onions, grapes or raisins. No fruit pits of any kind. Carrots, celery, broccoli, and pumpkin are all good in small amounts. Also, no chocolate ever.
