If you're interested in dating someone it's okay to ask them their age, otherwise it's not really any of your business...and some people think it's rude - although I think that number is less than it used to be. If I want to know, I ask - they can always refuse to answer.

The saying is "Never ask a lady her age."
In most Western society, it is considered rude to ask someone their age, because society tends to glorify youth and view old as undesirable, impotent, and useless. This is an unfair stereotype, but older people are still discriminated against in subtle ways, so it's polite to refrain from asking such personal information. Their exact age shouldn't affect how you treat somebody, male or female.

Because a lot of women are vain and don't like to share their age, for fear they will look it...or worse, look older.
I personally see no problem with it...I'm the age I am. If I appear younger or older than that age, someone knowing the number (42 by the way) doesn't make any difference.

"Ahh, who's counting?" "If I advised you i'm afraid i could could kill you." "it truly is for me to understand and for you no longer to agonize about." only comic tale about some thing like that to get round answering. which could prefer to artwork, because few human beings will opt for to seem too pushy to understand. It nonetheless beats me even with the reality that why some each person is so smooth about their age. all of us become older, that is common and not some thing to be embarrassed about. i understand such questions can get tirening even with the reality that. i in my opinion do not concepts human beings asking about my age, yet i'm thoroughly bored to death with questions concerning at the same time as i will have little ones.

You had better find out the age of the girl. You don't want to go to jail for rocking the cradle do ya? Anyway that really only applies for older women like over 40.

it's an inappropriate remark and not polite to ask a waoman her age. It's almost like someone asking you how much y ou make a year in front of everyone. Get it?
