HI. I have light brown hair and have home highlighted it a few times over the past year with a real light blonde. Not all of it-just streaks. Then I colored it all to match my regular color to start over (always waiting months in between). Then I highlighted it again. I got alot cut off recently (including layers and it got dark again so I highlighted it again but my cousin screwed up and only got the back done. She got the front but left it on for about 10 minutes. The next day I got another kit and did where she did it for only 10 minutes and then some-so I have almost all bleach blonde hair. Now, I want to put some darker streaks in to even it out but will it kill it? This highlighting just happened a few days ago? I take care of my hair with good products and everything but I don't want it fried. How long should I wait or should I not do it at all? Help me please!!

Even if you've had good luck in the past coloring your hair at home, now would not be a good time to fix it yourself. If you have "bleach blonde" hair, those light pieces may grab the dark color . This could result in a grey or greenish tint if not done properly. You should probably go to a salon to get it fixed. If this isn't an option because of money, maybe consider just living with it. It doesn't sound that bad, especially if your natural color is a light brown.

It sounds to me like you should leave it alone for awhile. You sound like you don't know what you want, light, dark, light ,dark, and now bleached blonde, I would say your hair is fried, deep fried. I would not touch it for at least a month. luck

Wait at least a week. Then use a semi permanent color. It's not as damaging as permanent.
