As a general rule the larger the dog the shorter the life span and the smaller the dog the longer the life span.

I had a Peke that live way up into her 20's
A great dane that lived to be 7.

It all depends if they are healthy dogs. I would say normally about 14 to 16 years, but a friend of mine had a yorkshire terrier and he has just died of old age at 22 years old.

It depends on factors such as genetics,diet,environment as well as the breed itself. I believe the average for a Yorkie is 10 to 12 years now-a-days.

it is proven that the litter the dog the longer they live so maybe like 8 years some even longer depends on their health
