The same point that is in Snow White. And Harry Potter. And Cujo. And Santa Claus.

Pick up the good things he said. Learn from his parables if you are not interested in what Christians claim about him. By that, you may see some point.
In life, even manure has its property that helps fertilize a dry ground. Nothing is pointless unless you do not know how to see. There is great difference between looking and seeing.

The story of Jesus points to 3 things, love God, love each other & TRY to understand how much our heavenly father loves us. What seems pointless is you coming to a believers website ~ expressing your nonbelief, which I respect. We all have our own journeys, you are an obstacle tho.

It may seem pointless to you now but someday your relationship to Jesus will be the only thing that matters.
You are in or you are out forever.

It's about people not having to accept responcibility for their actions. They can do any evil thing they want, After all it is written in their bible that it is impossible for anyone to keep the law.
Which means Christians can't help but lie, steal, kill, covet, etc.
All they have to do after doing whatever evil thing they wanted is to say to Jesus forgive me and POOF they are forgiven and all is better. There seat in Heaven is secure. Who cares what damage they cause to this world. That doesn't matter they are forgiven by JESUS so they are free to do their next evil act.
And people wonder why we are in a pointless war with a planet that is going to hell. The fruit is Christianity at work just look at Bush!

Jesus is God's only begotten sun and died for the sins of this world. If a person doesn't accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior then their eternal home will be hell.

Jesus is cool;
it's the stupid, ignorant people who believe in the religious lies and deception that is point-less!
Here's the Point:
Create a private, personal, direct, divine Relationship with Our Creator and save your Soul from religion.
Only with Our Creator's Love and Peace will we be Truly Free!

The point is that God, who is completely Other, pure spirit, totally unfathomable and unreachable by human beings, actually came into the world of material things, actually became one of these little human animals, actually lived our life, accepted our limitations, suffered our sufferings, walked and lived and taught and loved and died as one of us. This is the only way that these two Others, God and Humanity, could come close enough to make contact. We couldn't contact him, he had to contact us.

Best to find out the point. The point is that man is separated from God because of sin. Fellowship was broken and the wages of sin is death. Man could not buy his way to righteousness through good works, deeds or rituals. The payment was death. But God provided a loophole, that a substitution could be made. This is where the sacrificial lamb became necessary. Your sins were passed onto the lamb, and the lamb took your payment for sin.
This was a foreshadow for He who was to come. For as Abraham said, "God will provide Himself a Lamb." This was seen when John the Baptist pointed to Jesus and proclaimed "Behold the Lamb of God that takes away the sin of the world."
If we ask Jesus to be Lord and Savior, we are, in essence, passing our sins onto Him as our personal lamb. Our payment was paid in full on the cross. Which is why Jesus said "Tetelestai" or "paid in full" (commonly translated as "it is finished").
So, with sin paid in full, we now have access to the throne wherein we can cry Abba, Father to the Almighty God. It is through Christ that our sins have been removed and thrown into the deepest ocean and as far as the East is from the West.
1 Cor. 15:1-4
I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand, by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you--unless you believed in vain. For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures.
