Depends how many people you have to serve. If there are a lot of you, and you really want something different, I'd suggest curry. you get a lot of rice and a number of different curries, and everyone shares. It's very good for fostering family spirit and making it a special evening.

If by Shabbos you mean Shabbat, or Sabbath, then I suggest hummus. I was lucky enough to have a Shabbat dinner in Jerusalem once, and the hummus was amazing. Also some dates and fish, and I'd top it off with baklava. Yum.

The traditional menu is:
First course: Fish (gefilte or fresh--your choice, with salad.
Second course: Chicken soup.
Third course: Meat or chicken, usually with potatoes or rice and vegetables.
Then comes dessert, and I think the most popular one is chocolate cake or brownies.
