I'm preparing dinner for a good friend and I want to serve Lasagna. I need ideas on what to serve as an appetizer, side dishes, drinks and dessert.

toss salad as the first serving...all fresh greens and veggies diced up...and tossed with an italian dressing. Good for side is a heavy italian bread with butter and sweet peppers in oil...or could make a homemade garlic bread with minced garlic and butter out of a french loaf, drinks....the sky is the limit...usually red wines, or if non-alcoholic go with a light grape juice spritzer...dessert something light and decadent like a chocolate mousse. Sounds like an evening of great food. Hope this helps.

Gotta have breadstick or garlic bread. Must have a salad. I like a salad heavy on the dark greens like a field salad. Since the lasagne is a heavier meal, choose a lighter dessert on the fruity side. I say a glass goblet full of rasberry sherbet topped with whipped cream and fresh rasberries with a glass of hot cocoa.
Oh that sounds good!

you're pretty lazy
why do we have to come up with some thing
I don't even know your friend
i don't know what your friend likes
is your friend a male of a female
age 12 -18 18-25 25- 32 32 - 45 45 -60
so if i say you should make a side of deep fried zucchini and a side dish of large black olives sliced onions and feta cheese with a herb vinaigrette some red wine and a jello cloud
and weather you use it or not I will never know if you did like it and if you do use it and your friend said
GOSH this is good how did you come up with this idea
Oh it was nothing
you wouldn't even tell them that you got if off of this site
I wonder if i was thinking that out loud or not.

I would do bread sticks with spinach dip for appetizers, side dishes I would do like a greek salad with a vinegrette dressing and for drinks I would do simple champaigne..something you don't normally drink all the time would be a great fun item to add and for desert I would do Serbert Ice cream with fresh mint

Keeping with an Italian theme I would do Bruschetta- if you are not serving bread with dinner, or antipasti with salami, fresh mozzarella, olives, roasted red peppers, for a side- tossed salad-romaine, grape tomatoes and gorgonzola with a balsamic vinaigrette,
serve Chianti or another type of Italian wine of your choice. If you do not drink Pelligrino water or seltzer w/ lemon
Dessert could be Tiramisu ,Lemon Ice,any flavor Gelato

a salad always works also fried zuccini, freshed baked bread sticks or garlic bread. Don't over do though-lasanga is very filling.
