I lost my credit card, and someone used to to buy about $240 worth of merchandise at a Target store. What is the credit card agency going to do to try and catch this person?

Has anyone been a victim of this before and they caught the person who did it?

It's really quite unlikely that anyone will actually try and catch the person. To be honest, so long as you reported the card stolen, you probably shouldn't care about the $240 or the person that stole your card...the bank is out the money.

What you do need to be sure about is that this credit card was the only thing that was stolen. Did they get your driver's license, anything with your social security number on it? If they did, you should definately put a fraud block on your credit report.

That's happened to me. I received a refund from the credit card company, but they never caught the guy.
