All Modern Shampoos Have A "Low" (Acid) pH. When Shampoos For Hair First Came Out (Early 1930's) They Were Pretty Harsh (11 To 9.5, Very Alkaline = Very Bad For Your Hair And Scalp) Before That People Used To Wash Their Hair With The Same Bar Soap They Used For The Laundry Or Scrubbing The Floor! The First "pH Balanced" Shampoos Showed Up In Beauty Salons In The Late 1950's They Were Formulated For Tinted, Bleached And Permanently Waved Hair With A "pH" Of 7.0 (Same As Water) To 6.5 (Redken And Clairol Were Among The First) But Most Of The Ones Sold In Supermakets And Durgstores Were Still "Alkaline" Which Is Why People Were Told To Wash Their Hair Only "Once-A-Week" so Thier Hair And Scalp Had Time To "Recover" From The Shampoo. Since About 1970 "ALL" Modern Shampoos Are "pH Balanced" (About 6.5 To 4.5) But A "Low pH" Shampoo Would Be Something Else. Fermodyl Makes A Special Shampoo Whos pH Is Very Low (3.6) For "Firming-Up" Hair Which Has Become Too Soft From Over-Processing. But I Think You Would Be Better Off With A "Color Renewing " Shampoo (Like Pantene Red Expressions Or ARTec ) Or A Non-Detergent Shampoo (Found In Health Food Stores) Good Luck!

Almost every professional product is PH balanced. Redken and Joico are a couple really good brands.

Try Paves' shampoo (Walgreens) it's awesome and leaves hair shiny/protects color. There is no sodium lauryl sulfate in it, so it's not like detergent.

Also, there is John Frieda which has a few products for redheads. Aveda is a wonderful line also.
