I haven't sean most of that side of the family for 12 plus years, mostly cousins etc. Thought about making up some buisness card size with all my info on it, so if I should get asked.

It would be hard to ask for that information because everyone will be fairly busy, but having cards handy and asking them to keep in touch is a very good idea.

If you're the groom, you can include your email address on something guests will take home. My husband and I put our joint email address on the back of our favor tags. It worked out great.

12 years may seem like a long time, but weddings are a nice reminder of the importance of family, and just seeing and spending time with people again rekindles the relationships. Plus, email makes staying in touch so much easier.

I would request their email information either on the RSVP card or in a guest book.

Most people put their post-wedding address on their wedding programs. In many cases newly married couples have a new address and phone and will include this on the program, and you can add your email as well. That way everyone will get one. What they do with it is up to them. You could include also your information either in a separate card within the invitation.

Good Luck

Are you the groom? If so, you could have a place for it in the guest book. Have someone attend the book and encourage people to sign it and include their email. You could have your cards on the table with your information. If you are a guest, you will just have to ask on an individual basis I suppose and you can hand your cards out and ask people to stay in touch. I would do this at the reception and not at the actual ceremony.

I would put it on the RSVP cards in the invitation, so they can send it to you before the wedding.

if you havent seen them for 12+ yrs, what makes you think they are interested in staying in touch now? pretty presumptious to make cards. I would say if someone asks, you give it to them, if they dont ask then they dont want to stay in touch.

I think that is a great idea. You should just say something like "it was great to see you guys, we should stay in touch!"
