invite him to a coffee break with you. (or lunch) If your not ready to do that....Mmmmm.....a small note or gesture left on his desk wishing him a extra special nice day :) That would be all it would take for me to recognize that someone was interested in me.

e-mail him from your NEW job ... office romances are usually more trouble than they're worth. And check with your HR department, in case there is a company policy about employees - even in different departments - dating. Sorry to be a bummer ....
