a friend of mine had taken his truck in to be repaired. he says the technition ruined something else while trying to repair the damage. now he says its going to cost 1500 to get it fixed and back to him. he doesnt have it in his possession. now he wants to get a new car but that doesnt make sense to me because the truck is paid. they will have the truck he paid for and he will be paying a note on a newer car with 90k miles on it. what sense does that make?

Hes making excuses, and hes probably not telling you the WHOLE story. If the mechaninc broke his vehicle, the mechanic is liable for any reapirs that are needed to correct any damage incured while it was in his care.

What was it in for? what did he say the Tech damaged?

these are key factors in punching a nice big hole right through his story.
