Muslims believe that the OT and the NT have both been corrupted. What we know today as the OT and NT is incorrect... according to Muslims. The Quran is supposed to be the restoration of the Holy Word.

just adding my voice of agreement here as I think the question has already been answered. Muslims believe the old testament has its roots in the voices of the various prophets of God. this is the same god they believe in and the exact same chain of prophets of which they feel muhammed is the last representative.
However, the difference is that they feel SINCE those times the original texts and messages have been corrupted over the years and so a new messenger was sent to spread the word: muhammed. muhammed is in that sense merely an update and correction of the previous messages, not someone establishing a totally new lineage unrelated to what happened before.
so, yes, they follow the god of abraham. They believe what jesus and abraham said was indeed holy and did count as scripture but has since been corrupted by poor interpretations. so the bible and old testament in its PRESENT form is not scripture because it does not accurately capture what was actually said by the prophets. but even if it did accurately capture it, what muhammed said would be more holy simply because it was the 'latest update'.

Agreed. Indeed, a fundamental belief of a Muslim is to belief in the scriptures of God, sent to earlier Prophets - Abraham and Jesus.
But Muslims believe that these scriptures have since been corrupted by people who manipulate the scriptures for their own interest.
To prevent the same thing from happening to the Qur'an, that is why Qur'an has remained only in its original Arabic form and not maintained in other languages.

ahhhh, the light is flickering :)
now think of Revelation and the part.....a small scroll sealed till end times. And this scroll will be sour in your stomach.
Think the Qur'an is sour to Christians? You bet.
Then realize the Bible says over n over to READ. Then define what The Qur'an means....THE READ.
From what research I have done. One must know and understand the Bible as the Bible, not what churches or man think it says. then once you have done that, you may graduate and read the Qur'an. But to read it first or prior to knowing the real Bible, it will be sour to you. So I myself have been doing more n more studies on the Bible, the Hebrew past, Greek translations, etc to know the full story. So I may be allowed to read the Qur'an and understand it as I have and am the Bible.

Your question poses an incorrect premise.
Muslims follow Allah, as revealed through Muhammad.
Allah is not the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
