Ok, I have been dating my boyfriend for close to a month now. We have been friends since Nov. of last year and finally came to the conclusion we would make a better couple than just friends. Anyways, yesterday I was informed that he slept with a close friend like a month "before" we were together. When I asked him was there anything to tell me about this situation he said there was nothing to tell. should I be mad about it, forget it all together since we were not together when this happened, or should i just confront him for not wanting to tell me?

You should definitely confront him because if there really is "nothing to tell" then there isn't anything for him to be hiding and by not telling you he is hiding stuff from you. Your relationship will never work if you two hide stuff from each other. Yeah it did happen in the past, but if nothing is said then that memory will be a barrier between you two until you confront it and talk about it. You might want to talk about it with your friend too.

It was before ya'll were together; however, ya'll were friends during that time which means that he should have told you something about it. Since ya'll weren't a couple at the time, I wouldn't bring it back up unless he wants to talk about it, but what if he might sleep with her again while ya'll are together. You just need to believe and trust in him that he won't. Good luck.

Well, obviously, he didn't want to hurt you, that's why he didn't tell you. Also, you probably never asked either. I would have to say though, you weren't in a relationship when this happened. He didn't cheat on you, he was single. Now, if he is doing this during the course of your relationship, that is something to confront about. Otherwise, if you can accept him for his past mistake, then move on.

I know youre jealous. But remember, jealously is all the fun you think they had.....and he's with you now, so how much fun could that have been??? Its hard to only focus on the time you were together, but what else can you do? If the situation were reversed, you would say "but we weren't together yet.... " He would have resisted if he knew all the good **** that lie ahead.

It happened before you got together. we all have a past, somethings are better left there, get over it. If you spend all your time thinking about the past, how can you enjoy whats going on today.

Maybe its too early in the realtionship to divulge all your past, but if you are going to be committed to each other, he should fess up; especially since its comeone you both know...it would prevent awkward situations later on.

lol..he didnt even know you when he slept with this friend..why would you even worry, unless he likes to spend time around them or acts different towards them. Just ask if it was a one night stand and be done with it.

it was before you so you have no right to get angry...it might just be a heads up incase your friend tries to start sh!t because he's in a relationship with you and not her.

it's nothing to worry about... he was just letting you into his past.

it happened before you, so please don't let it bother you. And c'mon, do you really blame him for not wanting to give you a list of who he's slept with when you've not even been dating for a month?
