The media mostly talks about Iraq.

Afghanistan will probably steal the headlines this Spring. The Taliban has talked a lot about a Spring Offensive that is in the plans... Iraq will always be a main focus though because we have more troops there and we are currently suffering more casualties there. Both matter; both have a set of different political and military problems.

The question is does Afghanistan and Iraq matter more to the news than Anna Nicole Smith's baby's paternity?

Iraq was started for the big splash and media show.

OBL would be a pile of ash and a memory if the US had placed all the firepower they wasted on Iraq into Afghanistan while we knew he was there!

its worse than iraq at times.the military should not worry about iraq as much as afghanistan.there are just as many road side bombs as iraq if not more so,the terroists do the car bombs and the whole works over there.my husband said he would rather be in iraq than in afghanistan.

In the end of 2006 the Taliban boasted it had an army of 10,000 men. In March, the Taliban boasted it had an army of 4,000. Something happened to 6,000 of their men in 6 months.

The Taliban have been reduced to threatening people. The real threat is criminals posing as the Taliban, corruption, domestic violence and corruption.
