me and my boyfriend have been dating for 1 year and we live together. I have known him for 2 1/2 years and were best friends. I am in love with him and would like to get married soon. By the way i am almost 21 and he is 20.

If the two of you feel ready and capable, then proceed. Unless there is doubt or things you have to take care of first (ex: finances, school), then do what makes the two of you happy. I suggest taking marriage counseling before you take your vows. Marriage is a tremendous amount of work, but I'm sure you know that because you already live together.
Good luck.

If you love each other and are meant to be together, the piece of paper called a marriage license isn't even necessary. You choose to be with each other each day. Do you need a ceremony and a piece of paper to guarantee that you will stay together? No, absolutely not. As time goes on one of you may spiritually or emotionally outgrow the other. You can only work on yourself, your growth, your reactions.

Everything in this life is temporary. It can be for just a day or for many years. Enjoy what you have and who you have in your life each day and when the time comes to separate, thank one another for the precious shared memories and lovingly wish each other a happy life.

Yes wait. I was friends with my husband for 5 years. 3 of those years we dated and then got married. I am happy but still wish I would have waited because we both want certain things in our life that it is kind of difficult to do with a spouse and family (like continue school). What's the rush?

My parents knew each other for a week and got married within a month... Plus thir age is is over 20years.

Age means nothing, I plan on marrying my girl after uni, we will be the same age as you, but will have known her for 6years. But like i said, my mam and dad are still together after many many years.

Well, if you think others would think it's too soon to marry, then it is too soon. It is only too soon to marry if both of you agree that this is rushing things.

Marry in haste, regret in leisure.
