Alright, im a 15 year old guy who is in love with his friend. I have asked her out before and she has said yes, so thinking that she took it as going on a date, and that it was christmas time, i got her an expensive bracelet for christmas. I gave it to her and she liked it. But then she gave me a note saying that she doesnt like me like that and only likes me as a friend. She kept on begging in that note for us to still be friends. We are still friends now and I think that our friendship is stronger than before. Anyway, she also said in the note that if we were ever to go out with each other to the movies or something, it would only be as friends. I still love her and really want to be her boyfriend. I dont know what to do. Im not saying I want to rush into it. I would wait ten years if i had to to go out with her. I just really want us to be a couple. I just dont know what to do...

Trust me on this. Back off. The best way to get this girl interested in you, is to focus your attention elsewhere. There's an old saying....You always want what you can't have....stated otherwise....The grass is always greener. She knows she's got you wrapped around her finger. Well, start talking up other girls, hanging out a little bit less with her. Believe me, she'll be knocking your door down sooner rather than later. (and when she does, play hard to get)

OKAY is this my son? lol I have a 16 year old son who carries this love and flame for a girl at his school! He has adored her since day one and would walk across the desert just to see her smile! UNFORTUNATELY the very same thing happens to him everytime! He bought her a gorgeous gold necklace and earings for Xmas- spent over $200 on her and she loved it and accepted the gits BUT she continues to date all these guys who hurt her and dump her and only want one thing! Now this girl does have a reputation for ummmmmm sleeping around BUT my son doesnt see her that way- he genuinely loves her for who she is! I will tell u what I tell my own son! Girls in highschool r so stupid! We tend to go for the bad boy or the jock! Being smart and cute isnt enough! Later on in life we DO learn to go for the guy like YOU! U cant force her to see u the way u want too you can only hope and pray one day she will wake up and see u for who u r and return your feelings. Be there for her as a friend- she knows u care about her- I know it hurts- it does my son too- but he is always there for her when she is crying and upset and for his sake I hope one day she will give him the chance he wants! I hate to say it, but it doesn't sound like it's going to happen...for now anyway. Don't wait though...you're young. Experience other girls and who knows maybe she'll come around!

YOU WERE LUCKY THAT SHE WAS HONEST WITH YOU AND NOT LEADING YOU ON. SHE MAY GROW TO LOVE YOU BUT KNOWS SHE DOESN'T NOW. YOU SHOULD FIND SOMEONE ELSE TO DATE BUT STAY FRIENDS WITH THIS GIRL. PEOPLE CHANGE AND YOU NEVER CAN PREDICT WHAT MAY HAPPEN. I HOPE SHE RETURNED THE EXPENSIVE BRACELET. IF NOT THAT MAY TELL YOU MORE ABOUT HER CHARACTER.
