Has anyone had a visa from the chinese embassy in EDINBURGH (only) can you go and wait for it ,or do you have to do it by post ? what are there opening hours ?

Visa Office Of the Consulate-General in Edinburgh:

55 Corstorphine Road. Edinburgh EH12 5QG

Office Hours: 9:00am--12:00noon, Monday--Friday. (Except British and Chinese holidays)

The office is not open to the public in the afternoon

Pls note: Embassies are usually presented in capital cities of the countries in question. In your case the Embassy of China is ONLY! in London, as soon as ONLY! London is the capital of the United Kingdom. What you have in Edinburgh is the Consulate General of China, which is not the same, but exactly what you need to get an entry visa to China.
