Wait! May be it is just the flu. Do you have a rash? If you develop one, then it may be chicken pox. You may be partly immune to the disease at this age. It may be mild, even if you get it. Do not worry until you get it.

I contracted chicken pox while 6 months pregnant with my daughter, so I know how it feels. I started feeling poorly like I was coming down with flu, then literaly the next day I developed blister like spots all over my body. If it is chicken pox you will almost certainly get the spots, they are very unpleasant and itchy and sore. Calamine lotion is fantastic but don't scratch them, I did and now have quite a lot of scaring. If it is chicken pox you'll probably be ill for about 3 to 4 weeks, there is nothing you can take either just paracetamol for any pain. I hope this helps and get well soon!!

You would also have some kind of lesions with little blisters. But if you had them when you were younger and now exposed you would then get shingles and they need to be treated as so as possible. The faster the treatment the better chances of keeping the pain under control. The medication for shingles is very expense but well worth it.

Could be, but if you don't, you may want to get vaccinated. It can be very serious in adults and children. Hope you don't have them.
I would go to the Dr.s right now. They can give you something to lessen the symptoms if caught in the first 48 hours.

If you have never had it before and have not been immunized, then you could have it. You should go immediately to a doctor as it can be a more serious illness after childhood.Good luck.

You might have chicken pox, or equally the black death from the detail you have given.
