why would a guy who called me sweet, nice, smart, and beautiful break up with me? My bf broke up with me 3 days after he said he loved me and would always want to stay by my side; and really sounded like he meant it. Why would he end our relationship?

I dated him for a few months and I did NOT put out for him I wouldn't ever do that. His explanation was pretty much just crud because he said he wanted to be a free bird, then he asked another girl out (and she dumped him after like 4 days!) so that can't be true.

Maybe he is scared. most guys are. give him a little time and maybe he'll come around. i'm sure he still loves you.

Sorry to say but your ex boyfriend was just playing games to get what he wanted which is in your pants.
He was honest when he said he wanted to be a free bird...he doesn't respect any girl and just because he may ask a girl to be his girlfriend doesn't mean he will turn into a great guy and boyfriend all of a sudden. He doesn't know what love is and even if he did he really doesn't want any part of it.
Your ex boyfriend and many guys will promise a girl the moon in hopes of getting sex. Whatever it takes.
He is not interested in a real relationship...he is only interested in sex and he will continue to lie and tell every girl he meets anything to get it.
This is what will happen:
He asks girl to be his girlfriend, says everything she wants to hear, if he doesn't get in her pants right away...he moves on. If he does get in her pants afterwards he will more than likely dump her and move on. However even if he doesn't dump her he will cheat on her with the next girl and the next...until she dumps him.
Learn from your experience...be patient and you will find a guy that will respect and like you for YOU.

I think you're leaving some very important things out of your question such as - did he give you an explanation for the breakup? Did he say he loved you in the heat of passion? How long were you dating him - perhaps he has someone else and realized that getting involved with you was a mistake. I'm sorry, I am not trying to be cruel here - I am simply trying to understand your situation and be realistic.

like ya i deff. know about this..my x did that too..but he said there was just nothenin gleft to give and that hes still wants to be a hormoneous boy and didnt want to hurt me..i cant tell u his reason u will just have to talk 2 him about that but i do hope that everything works out i mean me and my x r friends and i think hes fallin g4 another grl but its ok bc i won the battle and u just need to be strong and not show him how bad u hurt or he will know ur weakness..just be strong thats all i cantell u to do

You now know that it's possible for someone to SOUND like they mean all those sweet words, when they don't really.
It sounds from you additional details that he became interested in someone else.
Move on.
Over time, you'll get over this, and will meet someone better.
These things happen.

Because men like that are useless...and a waste of time...!! They just use people .. Im really sorry about it..!! But you dont want to get in to a relationship which he uses you...and so on..
:-) You will find better....there are loads of men/Lads in the world good luck...Im just about to properly exprience this...with men..as i am only 15... BTW i have had boyfriends..!! ( Just incase it sounded like i hadnt ) :-P

Men r sometimes unpredictable they tell u they LOVE u then they cheat on u. I so sorry. This guy must b Young he still does not know what he want in life, sorry not even the older one know what they want. I wish luck DO NOT BELIEVE them with their word let them show u with their action. If he really LOVE u he will show u.

1 of 2 reasons, sister -
One - he was playing you against another girl and the other one worked out better.
Two - the dude freaked out and didn't know how to deal, so he pushed you away.
The only way you're going to know for sure is to come right out and ask him... but try not to be confrontational!!

well, obviously SOMETHING happened. If you didn't have an argument or something that you know about, then there's something he's not telling you. If i were you i'd try to find out, IF you care enough about him, to make that effort. If not, then just go on with your life and forget it.

maybe he is scared of being too close you or being really committed to you. you should talk to him and see what he has to say and tell him that if he would feel more comfortable, that you all could slow things down a little. good luck :)
