Take a break baby. I have 2 tats. They are meaningful to me and subtle. But i do like body piercing.

You are behaving in an addictive fashion having so many so fast. You might be smart to stop for awhile. Tattoos are expensive and you have a baby. Consider that aspect of it. at your age you might think these are grand, but you truly have NO IDEA what your mindset will be in 10 or 20 years. I know a girl 26 and she has 24 tats she got when she was 16, 17. There is nothing she can wear where you cannot see them because her taste was quite different from what it was back then.

My daughter at that time got 3 tats. Her thing is piercing. Mine is too.

I will tell you how it is addictive. It hurts, of course. With both practices they are sticking needles into your flesh.

Anti social only if you have "F#ck off" tattooed across your face!

There is nothing like the first tattoo. It's like, all of a sudden, you're part of something bigger than you are. The pain, the rush, the hum of the machine, it's like a having a religious experience

Like any other addictive act, you have to exercise some control and set limits.

Wait a minimum of two years between tattoos.

Learn how to meditate, so you can go to the mental state you found on the tattoo table. Try to determine whether it's the mental state you crave, or having more tattoos. Use our principles to design personal tattoos.

Last, but not least, if you find that you are not going to stop getting tattoos, plan out your body art. You want to be a painting, not a billboard

Some people find getting a tattoo will snap them out of a depression for a while. The human body "rewards" you with endorphins to deal with pain. So the tattoo usually hurts only for the first 5 - 10 minutes and then you either feel numb in that area or you feel very good all of a sudden.

I always feel like I accomplished something really good after getting a tattoo, and that's a good feeling. Of course, being rewarded with a beautiful tattoo is an even better feeling. But I can get that same feeling with a fresh or enlarged piercing so that is where I go with it now.

Those endorphins are mighty powerful.

Honestly, most people do end up getting more than one. I personally don't see anything wrong with that. A lot of people feel off-balance with just one tattoo. In my opinion there are three major rewards to getting tattooed.

1) "Runners high" or endorpins after enduring something stressful like getting a tattoo or running 4 miles.

2) The feeling of accomplishing something, enduring stress towards the higher end of a beautiful design on your skin forever.

3) Attention from people, in which the tattoo is appreciated for it's beauty or "coolness".

I have Phil Ochs tattooed on my arm (folks singer) I even have "Never Die" and a rose tattooed throughout my ft, with a tigerbat above the ft on my left foot for Tiger Army. I see me getting a pair extra musician tattoos. I have an Ochs lyric tattoed around the again of my neck (Sacred are the scars) and an Op Ivy lyric around the insides of each palms (It's lovely I might say... I don't have it some other means.) I'm considering a sizzling-rod tradition tat, skulls and roses and a banner, gotta decide on the lyric to move within the banner although. As it stands at present, I'd by and large decide on "In demise as in lifestyles, I will come up" or "My moral sense includes the burden of blood."

I have 2 and a 3rd planned. They used to be rather uncommon but now a large number of people of all ages and lifestyles have 'em.

There's nothing antisocial about them, and they should only be hidden if the subject matter of the tattoo is inappropriate to the situation (some aren't appropriate to be shown in a business enviroenment for example).

Are they addictive? For some they seem to be something that after ya get one, ya want more. They are a kewl way of expressing oneself with a unique design.

I'm pro-tattoo. ☺

Yes they are addictive... And expensive!! I have four of them. But they are all spaced out about a year. Are you getting them because they just look cool or are you getting something that REALLY means something to you? Remember, they are permanent so you don't ever want to get something you will regret down the line and the rate you are going, I'm afraid that might happen for you. When you are thinking about another one, really think about it and then wait for at least a couple of months so you know that it's not just a whim.

They are addictive in a way, I have 5 now and would get a few more. I like them, but I have mine in places that I can cover up if the occasion calls for it (such as when I am at work, my company has a strict policy about covering tattoos at work)

Nah, not antisocial or anything like that. I see it as an expression, in as much as any other person chooses the clothes they wear. The main difference being that most people put more thought into the tattoos they want, or at least into the fact that they want a tattoo. I'm a fan, I love it, and there's not much sexier to me than a woman who's been inked and loves it. ;)
