Hey John!! Send him a special card that expresses your deep love, and appreciation for him, send it right before you leave so he'll receive it after you've left. He will really be blessed, and you will have given back from the depths of your heart, words expressed from a grateful spirit are priceless!!! Have a great Day Beloved!!............ And Father, give him a safe trip, and a special experience personally with You first Lord, and his Aunt, relatives, friends, and whoever shows up there, and on the train ride there and back as well, in Yeshua(Jesus The Messiahs) name, amen (let it be)! Now, Enjoy Your Trip, and don't be afraid to pour out your heart in love to your Dad in the card! He'll probably cry, but he may not tell you!!

I think you can rid yourself of the guilt by giving your Pops a big hug and thank you for paying first class ticket for you - he obviously wants the best for his daughter and at the same time make it known that you are wanting to see you Aunt to him - little things mean a lot you know - he just wants you safe whilst en-route - so you have a lovely time and do as I say for your Pops. He will appreciate it I am sure.

So many of us have difficulty in accepting and end up feeling guilty.. You deserve it and your Dad is probably delighted you're spending time with your aunt.. So long as you've thanked him and showed your appreciation ( and it sounds like you have) you've nothing to feel guilty about.. it's just one of those things you need to work on over time. You could try affirmations.. or just talk to your dad.
P.S. unexplained guilt is a symptom of depression..

your dad must think you are worth the money to send you first class, but if you still feel guilty then you can always sit down with dad and say thanks for the first class tickets dad, but you dont need to send me first class, i would be happy to go economy, keep the extra for a rainy day...... what a nice person you are ! good luck x

i understand feeling guilty that someone paid so much. it's nice that you at least know what he did for you and appreciate it. but don't feel guilty, he had the money and spent it to make sure you could be there for easter!

I often feel this way with my mum, i think because she has spent so much of her life raising me and looking after me, and as im getting older I feel i should be looking after her and taking care of her, somehow paying her back. So when she treats me or offers to pay i find myself feeling really guilty, its a weird crazy feeling.

Do extra chores around the house without being asked, do things that you know he'd really appreciate if you did, offer to pay him back in payments when you get the money...etc.

Don't feel guilty. Just let dad know you were feeling guilty and that you appreciate the gesture.
