Look up some clergy/officiants in your area to see what the going rate is. You'd pay more in NYC than you would here in Ohio.
To find an officiant type into Yahoo your city, state & wedding officiant (no 's' on the end) You will have a few to choose from, usually on the 2nd page. The larger bridal sites seem to get top billing. If you do go to the bridal sites, please visit the site of someone you think you might like. Those bridal sites make vendors & officiants pay for your contact info so you may not hear back from someone you'd hoped.

At least $100...if he/she is a busy pastor of a large church $150-200 would not be out of line. Pay in cash discreetly in an envelope.

i think most churches no matter what the religon has a set price for "donations". i was married last year in a catholic church and the "donation" was $300 for the priest and $300 for the music guy. we were required to use their music. we didnt feel any additional money was nessesary.

It depends on where, its not taboo to ask what the usual donation to the church is (they dont call it fees, they call it donations) ours was $200, but we were married in NYC where everything is more money.

Charging a fee is outrageous I have never paid or been asked to pay for a wedding or funeral or baptism what sort of scam are they running now ? these services are supposed to be free for all CHRISTIANS Matt 10 : 8
