what purpose in life do YOU have?
if your mind can't grasp what evolution is about and you are comfortable with your lack of knowledge in science - then the bible is really enough for you

I think Darwin's theory could be just as true as the bible. You don't know the truth nobody does until they die. Why couldn't there of been a big bang and we all evolved from one cell organisms. That sounds a little more convincing then a thing that just sat around until one day he decided to build a planet. And then make a guy out of dirt and a woman out of a rib. The reason why creation came up first way way back was because those people that came up with it were uneducated and didn't have science like we do now. So before you bash on other peoples beliefs take a look at your own once you could prove them then you could say want you want about others.

So you believe creationism because it was around before Evolution? Then I guess you must believe the world is flat and that women should never have their periods because they should be constantly reporoducing. For that matter, you shouldn't really be using any kind of modern medicine because you should only believe in using leeches as medicine.
Also, I would just like to point out the circular logic involved in thinking the bioble is true. You believe in God because the bible proves it. You believe in the bible because it is the word of God. So how do you know God exists? Because the bible proves it! And the bible? Well you know that must be true because it is the word of God. But then how do you know to believe in God? Well because the bible proves it!
I think science does a lot better at trying to understand life than anything your flawed logic comes up with.

Holy crap if you discount evolution you are delusional! Science has more answers than any scripture ever had, you know why? Because scripture is the ramblings of men who thought they knew everything without every quantifying it in real life, they based everything of what they "Felt" was correct, regardles of whether it was supported by fact and observation. Darwin and many scientists like him create theory's based on evidence and research and actual hard work. They also do not claim to be correct and leave their findings open to further research so that the theory can be refined. The theory of evolution is so strong that it's only a theory in a scientific sense and you people are interpreting that completely wrong, like you all do with the bible, instead of using open mindedness to evualuate things you take everything literally and leave very little room for open interpretation, which is why your observations are meaningless because you fail to be objective. Ignorance is bliss they say and your bliss is so strong that you cannot even sift through the muck to find actual truths in this world. Men evolved over millions and millions of years, can you even comprehend the amount of time that actually is!!! Have you ever thought about the fact that the world is BILLIONS of years old! That kind of timeframe takes real perspective to evaluate, something your narrow view obviously takes no account of. Christians hate lies yet they believe every lie they are told by their peers! JEEEZZZ!

Your right, science doesn't have all the answers as to the aspects of life. But it sure has the answers to scientific things like human origins. You can chose to ignore the work of scientists, but make sure not to be a hypocrite. Don't use cell phones that scientists have made for us. Don't use a car scientists have made for us. Just use what is described in the bible. Because you have chosen to get your information on life from there, and not science.

Ok, first, being older does not make a theory right. We don't have the earth as the center of the universe anymore despite that being the earlier theory don't we hmm?
Second, no, science does not have all the answers, but it does have a lot. Just because we're Christians it doesn't mean we get to discount science. God gave us brains for a reason, use them!

There is another possible way to look at both "Creation" and "Evolution."
God's word says that he used dirt to form life (humans) and that he breathed life into that creation. If I look at dirt/clay as the material and then think of God as the sculptor, evolution makes a great deal of sense, even from a religious point of view.
First there is that lump of shapeless clay lying there on the table. As it is shaped and formed we get a figure that is crude and rough, often strangely shaped. As we mold and refine it .... it becomes more as we wish to see it. In the end we look at it and say that "It is good." We are done. The "evolution of life" ..... and God did it.
Just think about it for a while.

you are right about creationism and gods coming before darwin, that is simple fact as we know that the romans celebrated gods long before darwin was alive. Gods and religions came into being to explain the unexplainable at the time, and to instill fear into the masses, as capable judicial systems were not in place during the times of early man. Once science caught up and realized that we were part of an evolutionary process, it was a little too late for a lot of folks as religion had taken a stranglehold upon society and rooted its seeds so deep in the minds of the weak that to this day, basic science is still refuted. hope this helps your understanding, have a great day!

So, just because the story you believe is older than a scientific theory, you'll stick with it?
It's a good thing some people don't share your views... or we'd all still be living in caves.
The Iliad is also thousands of years old. Is that also a work of non-fiction?

You're right...science doesn't have all the answers.
Evolution is a theory. Some people can't trust their heart and soul, they only use their mind to think in one isolated direction.
One day there won't be religion or science...Just TRUTH.

Have you ever read any Darwin? He believed natural selection proved the Abrahamic god was not evil or crazy, which is something creationists seem to believe.
