Its no different from buying regular low-fat foods and watching your calories. Just limit yourself to a certain amount of calories a day and somehow burn at least half of what you ate. South beach is just a rip off. It works but its the same as just watching what you eat.

That isn't healthy. You should lose no more than 1-2 pounds a week, unless you are very obese. Then you can go to 3 pounds. Otherwise, not only are you certainly starving yourself, but research as shown that people who lose weight slowly are much more likely to actually keep the weight off.
