Just wondering how others take it when you say that whether it be in general or in the dating world.

Ok I see I have to re-word something here. What I meant by in the dating world was when you mention in a profile you like animals more than being a people person. I don't want to appear like I don't like people, but I love animals more. I have not met a lot of nice people is all.

I have always considered myself more of an animal person. People disappoint, judge, put you down, cause unhappiness, don't consider others feelings, give conditional love.
Animals, on the other hand, accept you for who you are, give you love and joy, don't judge, give unconditional love, and, more often that not, do not disappoint. Animals are always there for you when you need them, in sorrow and in happiness.

No its not wrong cuz sometimes animals are smarter and easier to get along with than people. I don't think that you should only be around animals and never people b/c you might end up like a "Cat Lady" but until you find that special person its ok to have a pet. They make great companions for single people!

my mother in law always tells me that she is more of an animal person than a people person. She has like 8 english bull dogs and she says she can talk to them and get along with them better than a person even her husband isnt that sad. So no i dont think its wrong some people just feel that way.

I think it is ok to say that in the US in English but I don't think that I would want to say something like that to anyone if they were from a different country or if it was in translated into a different language simply because it is a colloquialism.
You kind of take your chances as to how a statement like that will be interpreted.

no, i don't think it's wrong. i'm a fox-person. not a foxy lady.a lot of people live with their animals like they are humans. the animals eat at the table or on the table, like a cat i read about this farm lady owned. i believe it's general. some people sleep with their pets like with people. my ex-male apartment mate slet with his dog. and it didn't have anything to do with his dating a woman he finally married. he never mixed the two up.moonraven/cinderella

Most people would probably be somewhat miffed but some would completely agree.
