We have the 2006 highlander ,i am no longer going to have the dealer change our oil , but the thing is i need to know how you reset the maintence reminder light after you change your oil
, if you know how to do this could you let me know, thanks Ronbo.

nolthug is right on, but on some of the newer ones it will have to be on trip a before turning the key off.

Turn the ign switch to the "on" position
Set the odometer/trip display to the "ODO" mode
Turn the ign switch to the OFF position
Depress and HOLD the trip meter "RESET" button while turning the ign switch to the ON position
The Service Maintenance Reminder light will:
illuminate solidly for 3 seconds
blink for 2 seconds
illuminate solidly for one second
turn off
Release the trip meter "RESET" button
Turn the ignition OFF
Turn the ign back ON
That should do it.

its in the manual
i think you turn off ur keys
turn it to first on position where the odometer is on(dont start the vehicle)
press the button next to odometer for 5 seconds , reease it again press it for 2 seconds and that should be it
try it

with the key off hold the trip/odo reset while holding it in turn the key on. it will come up with dashes that will go away one by one then it will be all zeros and then it will go back to the odo. thats it
