I've known this guy for 8 years and he asked me out today. I really like him and everything but I'm scraed that it would change our friendship if we break up. He's a senior now and everything and he just broke up with his girlfriend like 1 week ago. he's also in the fire house too and thats where I'm at most of the time cuz of my dad. what should i do?

If you are attracted to him then you should go for it. Going out shouldn't present a situation where you would lose a frienship if it didn't work out. Make sure your expectations aren't high because he did recently break up with his girlfriend. A person could just be looking for a friend to hang with. Going out with...as in a date? Not, "going out" with as in a comitted relationship? If so...skip the commitment one and enjoy the date!

If you really like him and he asked you out I think that you should really give it a try. And if things don't work out and he don't want to be friends then he is a loser because just because someone breaks up don't mean that you don't have to be friends. I know exactly how you feel because I went through the same thing about a year ago. Good Luck.

It sounds like a rebound, but you never know. You may mess the friendship up or make it better. Maybe he just started to notice you. Try going out on a date with him but don't let anything happen. Ease in to it and you'll know if it's right or not. Besides firemen are hot!

i think that u ought to give it a try. tell him how u feel but do not be pushy, maybe he need more than a week to get over his ex so u could try being his friend first, then u let him know how u feel....good luck!

Honey, just go and enjoy yourself. If it lasts long term, be happy. If not, still be happy that you had what you did and move on.
