Why did prophet Muhammad discourage his companions from marrying infertile women?

Question

There is a prophetic statement told by prophet Muhammed about one of his companions who asked him if he could marry a wealthy beautiful woman with her only problem was that she was infertile. Prophet Muhammed ordered him NOT to marry that woman. After few ekks the man asked prophet Muhammad again and prophet Muhammaed again refused that marriage.

On the third time the man asked prophet Muhammed, prophet Muhammed also refused and discouraged his companions from amrrying infertile women.

Was that some kind of discrimination against infertile women?

Men have been like that throughout history. They all want their bloodline to be carried on. That was especially important back then, if what you say is even true. I'm sure that you've read in history how many Kings have gotten rid of their wives because they couldn't have children to carry on after they were gone.

I would like to know how a man, back then, could tell that a woman was unable to bear children? Don't Muslim women have to be virgins when they marry a man? If they are virgins on their wedding night, then how can you tell if they are infertile?

I would guess that a man would not want an infertile woman because it's very important to men to continue their family name. To have sons. But yet again, a Muslim man can have more than one wife, so if one in infertile, he can marry others and children with others. In the Old Testament of the Bible, many Israelites had concubines for this reason.

How could they make more Muslims that way, similar to the Mormon way of thinking, make babies don't give them a choice, brainwash them thoroughly and viol-la many more faithful Muslims.

How would you know until it was too late?

Then you would have to kill her to get rid of her,

Or perhaps the problem was the man's low sperm count,

so if she got pregnant by a different man's baby,

again, they would have to kill her.
