No. Generally, a person with a myopic viewpoint is dangerous, regardless of what that viewpoint may be.
Although it is true that a strict commitment to rationality will lead to atheism, the reverse is not true. All rationalists are atheists, but not all atheists are rational.

No, they are no better, actually. Going around insisting you KNOW there is no god sounds almost as stpuid as going around saying you KNOW there is one. A reasonable person would say that while it is true that anything is possible, the religious explanation being the right one is so unlikely as to be statistically insignificant.
