you make the image read only... disable thr right click option... or you upload your "samples" no bigger than 96dpi... your customers can see them perfectly well, but anything over a 3x2 image is so pixelated its useless..
and dont forget to sign your work.. digital signatures will help maintain your copyright... and prove the image is yours.

The only way to get people to not be able to click and save is to disable the right click, although I have been told that many people are able to find a way around this.
The way I do it is to put a large watermark on it so if anyone does copy and save it they will not be able to get a good print from it and it also lets others know who the print belongs to.

Reduce the pixel size. No one will be able to reproduce the images then.
See examples on gettyimages.com
Also put a transparent logo or name across the center of your images. Remember everything you produce is imediatley copyrighted to your name, so don't worry about cost for copyright etc.

you need to lower your resolution so that people can see what you are selling but if they try to steal it and print it, it wont look good at all. Save your images under "save for web" lower your resolution to something around 72 dpi. That way it is viewable on the internet and looks good but it will be unable to get a good print from it.

You could save two copies...the nice, original one, then a copy of that, but with a semi-transparent image over it...maybe words or a copyright symbol or your logo. =) Some people are slow, so be sure to explain that the copy they'll receive is WITHOUT the transparent image over it, lol. Good luck!!
