Ok so I got a new tatoo like 3 days ago. I have followed all of the instructions on how to care for it. Today, after washing it some ink came off. OMG is that normal?

it is not ink that came off. what that is where your skin is peeling. that happens when you get tattoo. it is normal. it is goin to be ugly while it is peeling but just keep puttin the cream on it

lol....ink is not coming off ..trust me..there will be some residual ink....of course...you have thousands of holes in you....
your new tat will do some things that will make you think something is wrong...it almost always is fine....
make sure you take care of it properly.
Fresh Tattoo
Take bandage off in 2 hours
Wash tattoo carefully with warm soapy water
DO NOT SCRUB
Lightly pat the tattoo until dry…
DO NOT RUB
Apply a very thin coat of bacitracin or aquaphor ointment 3 times a day for 3 to 5 days
Although re-bandaging a tattoo is not recommended, if covering the tattoo is necessary a sterile bandage or dressing should be used.
Be sure and wash the tattoo every night and morning…
DO NOT SOAK
Avoid tattoo exposure to direct sunlight and refrain from swimming in fresh, salt or chlorinated water for at least 2 weeks.
After External Healing
Tattoos heal quickly BUT fading can still be a problem
Apply hand lotion once a day until dryness stops
Vaseline Intensive Care, Lubriderm, Nivea, etc...
Tanning fades tattoos
Always cover fully healed tattoo with sun block
DO NOT RUIN YOUR INVESTMENT!!!

The scab (dried blood and ink) will start to come off, but 3 days is quick. I've had two, and my last one healed in a week.
1. Wash at least twice a day, anti-bacterial soap is good. Do not scrub or use flannels, cloths or sponges. After washing apply an antiseptic cream. I like Sudocrem because it's thicker than others.
2. Gentle sunlight is good. In strong sun, put cream on and cover up with t-shirt or similar.
3. Do not apply moisturisers or other products. You want the skin to dry out quickly.
4. There will be one day when it will do nothing but itch. Do not scratch. The itch will pass. When it itches apply antiseptic cream, but do not rub.

I have three tattoos and they all scabbed really bad. The best thing to do it put A&D ointment on it and leave it alone. If you peel the scabbs off or if you rub them off when washing you are going to peel the ink out of it and cause it to scar and then it cant be fixed if there are ink spots missing from it when it is healed. Go to the place you got the tattoo or another tattoo shop let them look at it and see what they say.

If it washed off and you see ink in the tub could be normal just extra ink washing off, but if washed off skin completely I really don't think that's normal and you should go back to where you went to get it done so they can fix:)

I had a purple star put on my ankle and a few days after, I had a layer of skin with a purple star imprint peel off. It's normal, i guess. I've had my tattoo for almost 7 years now and the color hasn't faded because of it. but if you are still doubting, call the tattoo parlor and ask. better safe than sorry!

if it was skin with the ink,then that is normal as the ink has dyed your skin, i thought that when had my first one, when i woke up one morning i had tigers head (scab) on my pillow!!!!! as long as tattoo still there its fine. haemorrhoid cream is highly recommend in my studio!!!

yeah my dad has a few and i guess that happened i dont know but the other people says it is normal so ya i guess but call the tattoo parlor and make sure like the other person said its better safe then sorry???????

do you mean ink or skin. because the tattoo will peel and it will be colored. which is normal.
