Food & Chemo?

Question

I'd like to take food over to a friend going through chemo. What can you recommend?

They can eat anything and everything. But sometimes right after Chemo, their taste bud changed. Bring your friend something full of protein and iron.
If he has problem eating due to nausea, bring some fruit smoothies or ice-cream. My husband loved ice-cream when he was going through chemo.

Pizza. My son basically lives on it. He was diagnosed two years ago with stage IV abdominal cancer and about the only thing he eats regularly is cheese pizza. Whatever he is doing, it works . . because he looks great for a kid that just finished another round of chemo a week ago. He also likes cheeseburgers and milkshakes.

But, I suppose it will depend on what type of chemo your friend is taking . . I think he would appreciate just the fact you are making him or her a meal.

Well My Best friend had chemo and radiation.and Sometimes her throat hurts so bad that she can't swallow.Try cheesy Potato casserole or soup.Any thing soft is good Like Jello or a pudding dessert.It is Kind of you to do that in this time Keep up the good work.

Whatever they like to eat! While on chemo all the doctors want you to do is eat, so that you do not lose too much weight. Call your friend and ask what they would like.

they can eat anything they like some people choose to eat soft foods because their bodies are sore and sometimes their throat becomes sore also. alot of people eat light so they dont upset their stomach. take them soupd jellos ice cream stuff u like when ur not feeling good
