If so, COMBAT the problem.Simply X out your address and indicate the senders name with an arrow, with the word "UNSOLICITED RETURN TO SENDER", and deposit it in the postal system..Have been successfully doing it for years...have not had any returned..It puts a burden on the sender..

Actually, unless it was sent 1st class, I think the post office just throws it away but, right, folks need to try to stop unsolicited mailings.

If it is first calls mail you can write 'Refused' on it. Put it back in your mailbox and it will be returned.
Otherwise, it goes back to the post office and they throw it in the recycling bin.
In both instances the postal service has to handle it twice, causing more labor and time, thereby increasing costs, which will be passed along to you in future rate increases. It would make more sense for you to shred and recycle.
