It depends on what you want to compliment him about.

I agree with "no name" above. First say why you would compliment him? For what reason? on what occasion?

All those papi, guapo or simpático expressions are just related to somebody who is good looking. But maybe you want to compliment somebody for getting a new job, or for having finished school or university, etc.

On the Spanish trip we had a couple of years ago, the teachers always mucked about and said 'If you see a really fit guy, shout 'guapísimo' at him. It means 'really really good looking'

I haven't had the (un)fortunate opportunity to try it out yet... (I'd chicken out anyway...)

Try: ~Hola guapo siempre te vez bien pero hoy exageraste~
which means something like: "hi cuttie you always look fine but today you exagerated" (meaning that tody he looks really hot)!!! You can also call him "bombon" (which translates to marshmellow) but many latin-american girls call boy "bombones" when they're really cute. Hope that helps but please bo more specific on what you want to compliment on.

"Guapo" means good looking, dont say "Guapa" as thats the female. All male descriptions end in "o". Good luck!
