Allah is the Arabic word for God.
I love how the ethnocentric Christians out there ignore the fact that each language uses their translation of the word. As was mentioned earlier, Spanish people have Dios, and French people have Dieu, but you don't attack them for worshipping "a pagan goat god" or something equally ignorant.
You know, there are Christians in the Middle East, and when they read their Bibles (written in Arabic) and go to church (services in Arabic) guess what word they say or read where you would normally say or read "God"? ALLAH, thats what.

I understand that Spanish-speaking people worship a god named Dios. The French worship Dieu. For Germans, it's Gott. The Greeks worship Theos. The Russians worship Bog. It's astounding, but every language group seems to worship a different deity.

Allah, Yaweh, and Jehova are all the same god... the god of Abraham.
Christianity (and even different sects within) and Islam just have different names for this character.
