If men are not superior in our society then:

Why are there not Woman Preachers. (In most Churches)
Why have we never had a woman president? (in the USA)
Why do men on average get paid more than woman for the same job?
Why are there no woman with great significance in the bible (non-catholics - do not use Mary)
Why is the woman absent from the trinity?
Why is God always a man?
Why did the woman come second when life comes through her?
Why are woman said to have menstrual cycles?
ect..., ect...

How can you say we do not live in a patriarchal society which is ran by Christians?
Have woman been brainwashed to think (the we came from the side of a man theory) means you are equal when reality says different?

Yeah call me a satanist if you want, it makes YOU look bad, and it makes me into the real victim, christians being persecuted, INDEED!

Ok, take a deep breath, this is going to be a long one (to be fair you're the one asking all the questions)

1. This is traced back to one of the letters Paul wrote (to Ephesus I believe. I'm horrible with chapter and verse). He said that women should not be teachers. This was advice directed to this particular church because it was having a problem with the women standing up and giving opinions (unlike the men at the time, women had not grown up studying the Torah, so their views were not accurate. They needed to sit down and learn before they could teach).
2. This has nothing to do with Christianity and everything to do with American two party politics.
3. Again, this has nothing to do with Christianity but I'll answer it anyway. On a straight salary to salary comparison women do make about 85% of what men make. However largely (though not always I'll admit) this is due to choice. Women, more so than men, (I'm speaking in dangerously broad gender based terms here I know) to have some of their recompse in flex-hours, day-care, and other non-monetary benefits and are willing to take a slight pay cut in exchange
4. Are you kidding me?
Deborah - led the Israelite army against the Caananites when Barak was to scare (and another woman, Yael, killed the enemy king)
Ruth - The only Gentile in Jesus bloodline (Reward for being such a loyal and good woman)
Esther - Risked her life to save her people
Rahab - Prostitute who hid Israelite spies and was later saved
Mary Magdelane - who showed the disciples what it meant to honor Jesus
Three women were the first to witness the miracle of the resurrection. In addition to which, traditionally whether or not you were a member of God's chosen people (ie: Jewish) was based on whether your mother was, not your father. And that's all just off the top of my head (without using Mary as an example).
5/6. Largely a matter of the times. The Bible was written during a patriarchal time. With the exception of Jesus (who was born a man) I largely agree with Kevin Smith. 'He's" not really a man, he's not really anything"
7. Adam was the only creation where God looked at it and said "This isn't right yet, something is missing" and then look at where he got the source material for Eve, Adam's rib (that she would be beside him) not his foot (that she might be stepped on). It wasn't until Eve was created that went God said "That's good"
8. Because women are fertile. All females menstrate

And one point I'm sure is rattling around your brain: Women obey their husbands, yes the Bible says that. But it also says that husbands are to love their wives like Christ loves the church (which is a very intense and sacrificing sort of love needless to say). Men were also instructed to *ahem* 'satisfy' their wives.
The Bible has been twisted around to support a number of unpleansant, unchristian, and unbiblical views including sexism and racism and etc. But that doesn't mean it's what God intended.

Way longer post than I'd intended, thank you for you indulgence

Why do you think men are superior?
1. there are plenty want me to introduce you?
2. none has run
3. poor negotiation. I will have to ask my boss why SHE makes more & let her know it shouldnt be. Thanks! Also, women tend to have more time off without pay because of having children. See questions 7&8
4. plenty:queen of sheeba/ruth/eve
5. God is the father, Jesus is the son, Holy ghost is not defined
6. He didnt get an operation to change that
7. you need a seed from a man for it to happen
8. Said to have? They do have them. Just ask. Its not a rumor.
etc...etc...

Bitter, are we? What does the president, a job, birth & a period have to do with Christianity? Are you asking the same question of other religions like muslims? Jews?

christianity:
That was the mormons! Not all of Christianity

Not always. It is a organic incontrovertible fact that, bodily, guys are more potent than ladies and that ladies are extra sleek and agile than guys. That is sensible a reality headquartered on statistical averages. Some ladies are more potent than a few guys, and a few guys are extra sleek than a few ladies. When you get into the character scale, there aren't any common laws to talk of. As is the identical with any vast groupings. The handiest actual difference you'll make among the corporations of "guys" and "ladies" is the genitalia. That is all. Not superiority.

First question - - -Are you suggesting that women should be forced to become preachers, so that the numbers suit you ?
Second - - - None has ever run for president. You seem to be suggesting we should force one to run.
Third - - Many jobs require strength and size. In those jobs men accomplish more. They're worth more.
Fourth - - -That was written two thousand years ago. You have to ask those guys. And, why not Mary ? Mentioning her would spoil your arguement, so you leave her out. Great
Fifth - - - For the same reason that the Vestal Virgins are all women. Everything doesn't have to come out one for one. We have a nursery rhime " rub-a-dub dub, three men in a tub". If it was up to you, you'd be screeming " How come there's no woman "?
Sixth - - - Who says ? HE is used for convenience.
Seventh - - I don't know what you mean " the woman came second". Second in WHAT ?
Eight - - -Boy ! This one is the best of all. " Why are women SAID to have menstral cycles". Because they do. Would you rather we said that men menstrate but women don't ? Come on !!! If you're stupid, try to hide some of it.

I won't bother with the ending. It gets more and more stupid as it goes. Allahu akbar ( pisse be onto him )

Who denies that we live in a patriarchal society run by Christians? (Assuming you're talking about he U.S.)

What you say is pretty much true with women being marginalized in society in a lot of ways. (Except, what do you mean by asking why are women said to have menstrual cycles? They're said to, because they do. This is a basic fact of life. Ask any woman.) Anybody who can't see that is pretty blind or stupid or both.

to be completely honest with you the bible does not say men are supperior to women in christianity. we are all apart of the body of christ as christians and no person or part of that body is more valuable then another. if one is the foot his job is to walk if one is the eye his or hers is to see and if one is the hand well you get it right . what the bible does do is give man and women their roles in the body. it does not place a value scale on them though men do this. and by the way the very first evangelist was a woman by the name of mary who proclaimed he is alive!and indeed he is. so stop wondering about value and start trying to figure where you fit in. read first and second timothy followed by 1st corinthians chapter 13. and if you don't have a relationship with the heavenly father through his son contact a church of christ in your city. that is the main purpose and role of all of us and why we are here . it is simply to have a walking talking relationship.

There are some.
They never ran for it yet.
Not suppose to.
Lots of significant women in the Bible. Read closer.
Because a woman cannot be a Father.
Because He said so.
It wasn't like that at first.
Because men bear the fury of it.
etc, etc, etc,

I have no idea where you are going with this.

You have not been reading your Bible...have you?

Galatians 3:28:
28 There is no longer Jew or Gentile,[a] slave or free, male and female. For you are all one in Christ Jesus.

See the link below, it too long to copy and paste. It will be well worth your time and answers most of your question...with Biblical text.

Happy reading!

I tend to disagree with you. You are reading it from a legalistic point of view. Perhaps praying before you read would help God to reveal Himself to you.

Jesus respected women. He loved in a way human males can not. His love was / is pure and completely non-sexual. Who did Jesus appear too first and told her to, "go and tell the others" after he arose? It was Mary Magdalene.

Who is the giver of life between the sexes? Women.

Some current women preachers...Joyce Meyer and Beth Moore come to mind.

You need to differentiate between "superior" and having different roles. Women have had prominant roles throughout American history and throughout the Bible (the birth of Christ to Mary is a glaring example). If you assign the lable "superior" to men, that is your own doing.
