Congrats on your new lab!! I also have a Chocolate named Reese Pup. He's the best! Anyhow a few names I considered were Dove and Godiva, for a girl, Nestle for a boy. Good Luck!

Nothing obvious, like Hershey or Cocoa. There are several websites that list dog names alphabetically...and not just the generic, unoriginal ones.

Naming your dog is just as important as naming a child. I think at some point or another, you will be calling their name in public, so choose wisely. I believe it's best to just be patient and keep looking for a name that really suites your Lab's personality and not just his/her appearance.

Good Luck...

if you want to stick to the chocolate theme:

Trifle - female
Cupcake - female
Tootsie Roll - female ( Tootsie for short)

Hershey - male
Yoohoo - male (from the drink)
Soldier -male (also from a chocolate drink)

if you are looking for more regular non-flavored names:

Lucky - male
Prince - male
Smokey - male
Dingo - male
Skipper - male

Lucy - female
Mollie - female
Gypsy - female
Sasha - female

hope that helps.

I used to have a couple of chocolates. I named my female M&M and called her emma. The male was named Thunder because his tail was always banging the wall making a thunder sound.

My husband used to have a dog that was dark in color, they got a name from an American Indian friend, Choco( If I am spelling it correctly), which means chocolate drop.

Don't do something cheesy or too obvious like "Hershey" or "Truffle." The other dogs will make fun of him/her.

Is it a boy or girl?

ETA:

For a boy... Jacques, for Jacques Torres (Mr. Chocolate)
For a girl... Diva (short for Godiva)
