Not exactly, I think Fate presents certain situations to us but our own free will determines what will happen. Fate and Free Will are just opposite sides of the coin, you cannot have one without the other.

I don't believe that everything happens for a reason per se but I do believe that when something happens...good or bad...you learn and grow from that experience and thereby you adapt and change and it is this that makes it "appear" that there was a specific reason. So, perversely, the happening has had a "reason", not an isolated one, but the continuation of your growth and development as a person and a human being.

I don't I believe everything happens for a reason.
I do believe we can attempt to make sense out of something upsetting by trying to come up with a reason. We can look at a bad experience and try to take something from it...it's not always possible.
Things like children being molested, tortured, murdered........there is no reason for these things to happen and it doesn't benefit anyone else that they have occured. to those who say that sometimes it can (serve as a warning and the like) I disagree.

I do. I believe in the divine plan of God and I do believe that although we are not to rely on our own understanding but to put our faith in the Almighty, that he's got a plan and that everything happens as it is supposed to.

Yes it does. For every bad thing that happens the good will prevail. When you get fired or laid off from a job and find yourself in a better job - there is your reason.

Yes because God knows what he has planned for you. It either happens or it doesnt. If it happens then that means it was meant to be. Other times it may depend on you, and the decisions you make.
