I had questions like this one all through my parochial schooling.
To 'believe' requires constantly suspending the ability to think.
It's too much work, so I don't believe anymore.

If you are real christian, it should be obvious if your wife is a christian to you. You will have probably prayed a lot that God will bring people into her life so that the salvation message makes sense to her. So if she remains a nonbeliever you'd know.
Actually in heaven the great goodness of God will be so obvious to you as a christian, that your wife will look a poor choice of companion, Jesus' love will be infinitely greater than any human's love. Also if you did 'join' her you probably would not be spending time with her, as hell is torment, but not shared torment. A few christian people (not Jesus' teaching as far as I can make out) think it will just mean ceasing to exist, but if that was the case ceasing to exist instead of eternal bliss would not be a rational decision. Your whole being as a christian would be renewed so you wouldn't make any more irrational decisions.

There is only one way to get into God's heaven and that is by believing that the Lord Jesus Christ died for your sins and when He was buried He took your sins away and He rose again the third day for your justification. 1 Corinthians 15: 3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 1 Corinthians 15: 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: There are two judgments. The judgment seat of Christ the Christian will be judged for the works he as done to win others to Christ. You will not be judged for your sins because the Lord paid for them on the cross. 2 Corinthians 5: 10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad. If you have rejected what the Lord Jesus Christ did on the cross for you then you will go to hell and be delivered up before the Lord at the White Throne Judgment and be done for the things you have done and then you will be cast into the Lake of fire. You will not have a chose to stay with your wife. Revelation 20: 13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. Revelation 20: 14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. Revelation 20: 15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

First of all if your wife was going to hell you wouldn't be reunited with her. And as the man of the house you should be leading her in a Godly life. And the bible says that there will be no more tears in heaven, meaning that everything is happy. So no I don't think that you need to worry about something like that happening.

I don't think that will ever 'really happen' to any of us ... and I think if it did, then all 'Mr. Smith' would have to do is say 'If my wife can't get into heaven, then I don't want to get into heaven' and the 'archangel' will say 'Okay, that was a test, you can both go in now.'

#1 the question is flawed. The Bible says "There are none righteous no not one" and "All our good deeds are like filthy rags before the Lord".
You can't have a blameless life."All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God".
Getting into Heaven is based on the grace(unearned favor) of God through faith and not by anything we do.It is a gift of God.All you have to do is accept it.
The only thing that will keep you out of heaven is rejecting the finished work of Christ.

God finds a way to save all - there is no reason to ever worry that he would truly allow any of his children to go to hell. That is humanity’s way of trying to understand and limit God’s ability to love and forgive all unconditionally.

I am a pushy person so I would kindly ask God to reconsider. If the answer was still no, then I would offer my life for my husband's. Yes, I love him that much. If that didn't work then
I would ask my family to take care of my children, tell them I loved them and go to hell with my husband. In my vows I said for better or for worse.

That is why there is no real heaven. It will come that even in heaven those who live there are judgmentals.
