There is a prophetic statement told by prophet Muhammad that tells that when he saw a child girl riding a camel, he told his companions that he wanted to marry that girl when she grows up.
Is this the way that prophet Muhammed (who was 60 years old at that time) looked at child girls?

Please learn something before making crude, inflammatory comments. In the culture and time frame that he lived in girls were considered "women" and of marriagable age when they started menstruating. Medical history discusses the facts that girls in that time frame started menstruating much earlier than girls nowadays... therefore it wasn't uncommon to see young girls around 9 years old marrying off and considered women.
Edit/addition: In addition... he very NICELY raised the status of women in that time frame with his philosophy, from girls getting murdered and tortured as babies (being seen as unwanted) to making fathers understand that baby girls were a "blessing" and that "Heaven lies at the feet of the mother." Therefore women were to be RESPECTED.
It's illogical and unfair to project modern concepts of various issues on history and vice versa. Kindly refrain from any more unkind posts without further study.

i could have sworn muhammed actually married a really really old woman. actually he had a few wives if i remember right but if what you say is true (i don't see a source) then maybe its kind of cool he didn't descriminate among young and old or anything...just like God doesn't discriminate among his creations
