You know it might have been the case a few centuries back that the man was considered as the king in the house. But in the life we are now, man and women are equal, there is nothing that a man can do, and a woman can't. It is the system we are living in that gives man power, for example when u marry, you have to bear the man's name.

The man is the head of the household. But that does not mean he's to be a tyrant.
A good husband would listen to input from his wife and children, but he has the final word...and he should make the right decision. He should not, however, beat his wife or treat her like a slave...men are commanded to LOVE their wives!
It doesn't matter if the husband is Christian or not. Look at 1 Peter 3:1-2:
Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wives;
While they behold your chaste conversation coupled with fear.
Christian wives should not try to convert their husbands--how they act may win them over, however!

Nope! In fact that's the main reason I left christianity years ago. Any God that puts women on a subservient / secondary level is not worth worshipping. That's when I realized religion was made up by MEN and is a complete crock.

I do! My husband is the head of our home.
He works, I care for the home and the kids. He is a wonderful father and lover. He is not controlling in any way. We make most decisions together, but occasionally, he does what he feels is best.
See the thing is, I trust him. HE loves ms and our children and would never harm us. If I didnt trust him, we wouldnt be married. He respects me as well. I don't 'obey' him, he is not my father. I respect him and his role to provide!

I am a distant Christian and no the man should not be the authority of the house. No men would ever control me or my house, no matter what my religion says.

I believe that the man should be the one to stand up and express the opinions of the husband and wife. After discussing things with the wife he should be able to speak of their decisions publically and proudly. I do not believe that men are any better than women. We are all equals mentally. However, there really are exceptions to the physical equaltiy.

Yes.
When the husband is a man of God, and is truly humble, and tries to be Christ like, he will take my knowledge and opinion into account when making a decision. It is said that marriages that have the husband as the head of the household are more successful, because women actually want men to be in charge. (We just want them to actually use their brain once in a while, and be respectful and considerate of us and love us like Jesus loves the church).

Well I believe this:
A man must love the wife as Christ loved the church (us) that he gave himself up for her.
Now, do you know any man that loves you so much that he would give up himself for you? I don't mean physically I mean that he would not be selfish and think of you first at all cost and in all situations?
That is what the man is supposed to do.
Now then I ask you.
What woman could not obey a man who always considers her feelings first before making a final decision? What woman couldn't go along with a man that loves her as it speaks of love for the wife in the bible?
No woman that I've asked.

Yes, providing he is living up to the scriptural guidelines of what a husband is to be. If not, then no, it is everyone for themself.
Scripture actually puts quite a burden on men when it comes to their position. They are commanded to always think of their wife before themselves when it comes to making a decision. If I knew that someone always thought of me first, I would have no problem of having him make the final decision for my lifestyle etc.

I saw this in My Big Fat Greek Wedding the girl was crying saying her Dad was the head of the house not letting her get married. The woman(her mom) said she was the neck and the neck can turn the head what ever way she wants. I believe this to be true for I've seen the evidence observing my parents. It's like we're tricking the men into thinking they are in control when it's really us.
