I don't know the name that one would like to give people who are under this situation.

Maybe it's the medication side effect(s) not the situation. But if you have overall anxiety about taking biochemically-formulated/encapsuled medication, you should ask/research the equivalent in health needs/purposes through natural/holistic/alternative medicine. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist about these options.

Good luck and feel better. (:

I'm not familiar with the term. Saying that you're afraid of taking medications is good for now.

What medication(s) have you taken and why are you afraid? It's possible that you were allergic to the medication(s) and/or experienced side effects And of course the pamphlet that you receive at the pharmacist can seem a little scary at first, but they are there to inform you. Most of these pamphlets state something like:

"You have been prescribed this medication for a reason. Although you may experience side effects, your doctor has prescribed this medication because the benefits of this medication exceed the risk."

In other words, your doctor has done the worrying for you. Again, I'm sure most of us would like to hear what has put you off of your medication. The reason that our life expectancy is increasing is mainly due to breakthrough medications and medical technologies.

Most importantly: If you experience a side effect or signs of an allergy to the medicine, read the pamphlet and/or look the drug up on webmd.com. Some side effects are not a problem, and it will suggest that you simply continue the medication but contact the doctor. Some other side effects can be more serious and you will be suggested to contact the doctor right away. And if you experience a rare but serious side effect, the pamphlet will instruct you to immediately stop taking the medication and see a doctor right away. Always do as you are instructed in the pamphlet. Not trying to scare you, just trying to keep you informed.

You need to take your meds. Just watch what you are doing and take the right amounts at the right time. Who knows what they call it? Medications are a serious thing, and need to be taken correctly. I hope you have one of those daily medicine keepers where you put each days dosage in a separate compartment? That way you will not forget.

I don't have a phobia, I just think they're useless for most stuff. If one is unstable I'm sure it's not because of a lack of one very specific chemical in their diet. Plus people use meds as a crutch, it's sad. Or they think there's no side effects, jackasses. I'm done ranting now.
