my boyfriend hardly ever answers his phone when i call, and hardly texts me back, and whenever we talk on the phone he doesn't talk much. but whenever we are hanging out he seems all happy and always tells me he loves me, and acts totally different than on the phone (in a better way). why is this?

Some people act different when on the phone and texting and some act different when actually in the other person present. You boyfriend may feel like if he text you and call you and tell you that he loves you and that other stuff you want believe him. So therefore he feels like actions speak louder than words. So when he's with you he's showing and telling you what you want him to tell you threw texting and on the phone.

Maybe he's just not into talking on the phone and text messaging...ask him.
