What is a good dog bone recipe?

Dog Biscuits

Here's what you will need to make it:


1 cup cornmeal
1 cup sunflower seeds
1 cup water
2 cups whole wheat flour
1 egg
1/3 cup vegetable oil




Pre-heat the oven to 350 degrees.
In a mixing bowl, combine the whole wheat flour, cornmeal, egg, vegetable oil, sunflower seeds, and water. Mix it together until it's smooth.
Sprinkle some flour on your work surface and then knead the dough. If the dough is really sticky, you can add a little more flour. Knead the dough for about a minute.
Pull off a small piece of dough and roll it in your hands. Roll it into a log about a half-inch thick. Pinch the ends to make a dog bone shape. You could also make letters that spell a dog's name.
Bake your bones for about 35-40 minutes, or until they are golden brown.
