Ask her whats her purpose of wanting a boyfriend and you explain to her what a boyfriend is all about. There are boy were as they are good friends they go out to the movies and things like that then there the growing up young men that have minds that are wanting to try different things. Be calm, and patience and talk to her as if she was your child.

Recommend something that has absolutely nothing to do with sex or male vs female type stuff. A T-shirt from his favorite band would be good. Gift card to Hot Topics or another store that does music,posters, things like that.12 is too young for a bf/gf relationship.
