It sounds as though the person concerned has moved away from the court where he was making the payments or perhaps is a guest of Her Majesty. The courts have no power to remit compensation payments, so this amount remains outstanding. My approach would be to go to the fines and fees office of the court awarding the compensation and ask them what has happened. It is usual to transfer orders of this kind to the local court of the person paying, for ease of collection, and they could at least tell you which court that was so that you can pursue them.

the court does as little as possible and you have to make a complaint to them about this and they will then chase the supposed payer. if they still fail to pay and you get them back into court they could be offered a jail; term instead of paying the money or even get the chance to pay in instalments sometimes this is as little as 3pound a week. Im not quite sure if you could instruct a solicitor to try and get the courts to seize assets but have been told this is a possibilty. hope this helps
