Although normally made with lamb, I make Shepards Pie with hamburger. Press one pound of meat into a 9x9" pan, season with salt and pepper and some onions if you like. Drain a can of whole kernel corn and spread it over the meat. Cover this with mashed potatoes and cover with foil. Bake at 350 for about an hour and fifteen minutes. You can assemble this in advance and let it sit in the frig as long as it is covered.

This is one of my kids favorite recipes...

Taco Ring
1/2 lb. cooked ground beef
1 pkg taco seasoning
1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
2 Tbs water
2 8oz pkg crescent roll dough
1 med green pepper
1/2 head lettuce, shredded
1 med tomato, diced
1 small onion, diced
1/2 cup sliced black olives
1 cup salsa
Sour cream

Recipe
Heat oven to 375. Combine meat, taco mix, cheese, and water. Arrange crescent triangles in a circle with bases overlapping and points out on the 13" stone, leaving a 5" circle in center. Spoon meat on triangle bases. Fold points over meat and tuck under.

Bake 20-25 min until brown. Cut off the top of the pepper (using PC V-shaped cutter).

Fill pepper with salsa and place in center of ring.

Mound lettuce, tomato, onions, and olives around pepper. Garnish with sour cream.

Serves 8.

Tater Tot Casserole: Brown your meat and drain. Season with salt, pepper and garlic powder. Place meat evenly in bottom of casserole dish. Poor 2 - 3 cans of favorite cream soup over meat for the gravy (cream of mushroom, chicken or celery work well). Open a bag of favorite frozen, mixed vegetables (there are so many combinations now a days) and spread evenly over soup/gravy. Open bag of frozen tater tots and spread evenly over vegetables. Bake in 375 degree oven for about 45 minutes or until heated all the way through. Enjoy!

Simple Skillet meatloaf:

1/2 lb. ground beef
1/2 lb. ground pork
1 small can tomato sauce
1 pkg. onion soup mix
1/2 cup of green peppers and onions
garlic powder and black pepper

Mix all these ingredients in a bowl and shape them into patties. Brown them up in a pan on both sides. After they are brown, mix a packet of brown gravy mix and water together in a bowl and pour it over the pattties. Drop your heat to simmer, and you can add some mushrooms in the pan. Put a lid on it and let it simmer for 20 minutes.
Serve with rice or mashed potatoes and green beans. It's pretty good!
